Triad EAP, a Western Slope based employee assistance program, was awarded the Outstanding Employee Assistance Program in Colorado for 2009. The award was presented in Denver on December 11, 2009 at the Colorado Employee Assistance Professionals Association annual Awards Banquet.

Jeannie Ritter, Colorado's First Lady and John Gribben, Owner, Triad EAP at the Colorado EAP Banquet on December 11, 2009
The award recognizes excellence in employee assistance programming and outstanding efforts to provide employee assistance services.
"I am very honored and humbled," explained John Gribben, Triad EAP's President. "We work with an exceptional group of mental health counselors, financial counselors and attorneys who help employees make real changes that impact their lives in a positive, meaningful way."
EAPs help employees and their family members cope with work stress and the many personal problems that can overwhelm even the most capable and responsible employee. The U.S. Department of Labor estimates that for every dollar invested in an EAP, employers can save anywhere from $5 to $16 by helping reduce absenteeism, turnover, and increasing productivity - not to mention increasing peace, joy, and improved relationships.
"Our model works. We partner with employers to promote our services to their employees and refer employees confronted by difficult circumstances to local counselors," explained Gribben. "In today's troubled economic climate the need for an employer to support employees has never been more critical. Employees are an employer's life-blood. When employees get help dealing with life's troubles - the death of a loved one, substance abuse, financial stress, legal difficulties, divorce, depression, etc - they are more capable of helping the organization succeed too."
Triad EAP was founded in 1999 to provide employee assistance, financial, legal, and work/life services to employers throughout Colorado and Eastern Utah. For more information about Triad EAP please call 970-242-956.
